Guide to the Invader Zim universe

Section 1: Basic Irken details
Irkens are an insectile race from the planet Irk, which orbits a similar sun to our own every 100 earth years.
The present day Irkens are lead by members of their own race that happen to be the tallest. This suggests that the planet may have a high gravity, which would result in only a small percentage of the race growing over a certain height; however it may also suggest genetic superiority much like traditional cultures.
The current leaders are always referred to as 'My Tallest' or 'Almighty Tallest' much like addressing royalty, also the Tallest during the Invader Zim series were never named and as such are referred by the colours of their eyes and uniform i.e. Tallest Red and Tallest Purple.
The current Tallest act more as figure heads to the empire similarly to present day royalty on earth, however the true decisions are made by powerful super computers referred to as 'Control Brains'.
Control Brains contain all the memories and knowledge acquired by Irkens through recycling or downloading from Paks, it is also suggested that they may be semi sentient which would allow them to adapt to situations. The CBs decide on military tactics, the production of Irken babies (or 'Smeets') and job assignment. It is suggested that the CBs themselves are stationed on most Irken ruled planets, (the main CB being located on Irk) as to keep a close eye on the empire's territory. Also note that the CBs are inaccessible to any individual but the Tallest due to their importance.
Previous Irken culture is theorised to be ruled by a lord with the support of the settlements strongest warriors, which in the current structure has adapted to the Tallest and their invaders. Irken culture is despite its war like hierarchy is known to be quite honest and forgiving. For example Zim was allowed to participate in operation impending doom I even after causing two global blackouts on Irk, destroying large amounts of Irken property (Mainly while piloting a large mech) and initially causing the death of the previous two Tallest (Tallest Miyuki and Tallest Spork) then Zim was punished with banishment to Foodcourtia, which is a Irken ruled planet purely to serve the purpose of being a giant food court rather then being executed despite the amount of Irkens killed by his actions.
Additionally in 'The nightmare begins' The Announcer openly described the items in the gift shop as "Cheap, useless stuff" demonstrating the open nature of their society. Also in the same episode when confronted by Dib, Zim immediately admitted he was in fact an alien.
The current Irkens themselves are manufactured in Smeets factories; each Smeet is given a Pak, which is surgically grafted into the Smeet's spine seconds after they have been hatched. The Pak downloads the knowledge specific to their designated area as each Pak is coded for a specific job but can be recoded by the direct contact of a CB if necessary.
It is theorised that The CBs suppress certain 'non-beneficial' emotions such as depression or even love as such emotions could effect the performance of the population, this may cause a large amount of the population hostile however the tank born Irkens which have defective Paks are capable of more flexible emotion such as Zim who shows an overwhelming sense of pride to appease the Tallest as well as through out the series showing a large amount of emphasis when saying certain words. The reasons for an Irken to be dubbed defective can vary from either the individuals Pak does not function properly or they do not reach a certain height. Defective Irkens are often designated into lower ranking jobs such as service drones in Foodcourtia as to not be in a position to cause harm.
